Uniqki is a simple yet powerful Perl script that can generate HTML files using a wiki-like syntax. The main objective of the script is to build a personal web site with HTML files that can be served directly by the web server. The server only needs to invoke the script when generating or refreshing HTML files and can serve the pre-existing files to the client without any further processing at that point.

Support for wiki pages is also available so that visitors can contribute their contents to Uniqki sites and, with access controls, an entire site can be read or write secured against anonymous users. The script contains a tiny web server that can self-serve itself on the HTTP or HTTPS protocol. Using this feature and a portable Perl environment like the Strawberry Perl Portable edition, one can use Uniqki portably from a USB memory stick without installing any additional software.

The name “Uniqki” stands for “Unique Wiki” and googling this term when the script was first created on May 23, 2007, returned no results at all.
